ACC approves appointment of 9 civil service officers to Centre

In a major administrative reshuffle moved by the Government of India, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has nodded to appoint new charges to nine IAS officers.


Vini Mahajan (lAS 1987-Batch of Punjab cadre) has been shifted and promoted as Secretary, Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Ministry of Jal Shakti.

Leena Nandan (lAS 1987-Batch of UP cadre) has been made Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change.

Sanjay Kumar Singh (lAS 1987-Batch of MP cadre) has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Ministry of Steel.


Rohit Kumar Singh (lAS 1989-Batch of Rajasthan cadre) has been assigned the charge of Secretary, Department of Consumer Affairs, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution.

V. Srinivas (lAS 1989-Batch of Rajasthan cadre) has been made Secretary, Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances and Department of Pensions & Pensioners Welfare.

Manoj Joshi (lAS 1989-Batch of Kerala cadre) will take over as Secretary, Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs.

Rajeev Ranjan (lAS 1989-Batch of MP cadre) has been given the post of Secretary, National Commission for Backward Classes.

Pankaj Jam (lAS 1990-Batch of Assam cadre) will assume the post of Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas.

Bharat Lal (IFoS 1988-Batch of Gujarat cadre) gets the post of Secretary to the Lokpal.
