Andhra Pradesh Govt reshuffles posts of 13 IPS officers

The Government of Andhra Pradesh, on July 14, approved a major reshuffle in the state’s police lineup and transferred and reposted 13 IPS officers.


1. Aishwarya Rastogi (IPS 2013-Batch) has been posted as Superintendent of Police (SP), Rajahmundry.

2. Dr Sheemushi (IPS 2008-Batch) has been posted as SP, General Administration (vigilance and enforcement) Department.

3. Rahul Dev Sharma (IPS 2010-Batch) has been posted as SP, West Godavari.


4. Narayan Naik (IPS-SPS 2009-Batch) has been posted as Directed Office of Director General of Police (DGP).

5. Dr Koya Praveen (IPS 2009-Batch) has been made SP, Organisation for Counter-Terrorism Operations (OCTOPUS). Dr Koya also gets the additional charge from SP, Police Transport Organisation.


6. Vikrant Patil (IPS 2012-Batch) has been assigned the post of Commandant, 5th Battalion, Andhra Pradesh Special Police (APSP), Vizianagaram.

7. R N Ammi Reddy (IPS-SPS 2009-Batch) has been made Additional Inspector General (AIG), Law and Order, Office of DGP Head of State’s Police Force (HoPF), Mangalagiri.

8. Malika Garg (IPS 2015-Batch) has been given the charge of SP, Prakasam.

9. Rahul Dev Singh (IPS 2015-Batch) has been appointed as SP, Railways, Vijayawada.

10. Ajitha Vejendla (IPS 2015-Batch) has been appointed as Commandant, 6th Battalion, APSP, Mangalagiri.

11. Garud Sumit Sunil (IPS 2015-Batch) has been made Commandant, 3rd Battalion, APSP, Kakinada.

12. Gowthami Sali (IPS 2015-Batch) has been posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police – I (DCP-I), Visakhapatnam City.

13. Vakul Jindal (IPS 2016-Batch) has been appointed as SP, Chief Minister’s Security Group (CMSG), Intelligence.
