The Government of Assam, on May 25, approved a minor administrative rejig transferring and posting six IAS officers across the state.

Ravi Shankar Prasad (IAS 1990-Batch) has been transferred and appointed as Additional Chief Secretary, Agriculture Department. Prasad has also been assigned the additional charges of Additional Chief Secretary, Animal Husbandry and Veterinary and Fisheries Departments; Agriculture Production Commissioner, Assam; and CEO, Mega Mission Society- Chief Minister Samagra Gramya Unnayan Yojana (MMS-CMSGUY).

Rajesh Prasad (IAS 1995-Batch) has been assigned the post of Principal Secretary, Transport, Irrigation and Soil Conservation Departments.


Dr Krishna Kumar Dwivedi (IAS 1996-Batch) serving as Principal Secretary, Industries and Commerce, Act East Policy Affairs, Transport, Skill, Employment and Entrepreneurship and Mines and Minerals Departments and Managing Director (MD), Assam Hydro Carbon and Energy Company Ltd. He has been relieved of the additional charge of Principal Secretary, Transport Department.

Mukesh Ch. Sahu (IAS 1996-Batch) has been relieved of his charge of Principal Secretary, Soil Conservation Department. Sahu is presently serving as Principal Secretary, Social Welfare, Soil Conservation and Welfare of Plain Tribes and Backward Classes (WPT & BC) Departments and CEO, State Innovation & Transformation Aayog (SITA), CEO, State Level Nodal Agency (SLNA), Watershed Development Component – Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (WDC-PMKSY).

Shantanu P. Gotmare (IAS 2004-Batch) has been given the charge of Principal Secretary, Bodoland Territorial Region.

Anant Lal Gyani (IAS 2011-Batch) has been relieved of the charge of Principal Secretary, Bodoland Territorial Region, however, he will continue to serve as Secretary, Bodoland Territorial Regio
