DK Thakur becomes new Police Commissioner of Lucknow

The Government of Uttar Pradesh, on Tuesday, November 17, transferred Sujeet Pandey (IPS 1994-Batch) serving as the Lucknow Police Commissioner. The Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) Chief DK Thakur (IPS 1994-Batch) has been appointed as the new Police Commissioner of Lucknow. Thakur will assume the charge on November 18, today.

Pandey will now sere as the Additional Director General (ADG) of Police, Arms Training Centre, Sitapur. Pandey has successfully served his stint as the Police Commissioner of Lucknow, especially his effective management of the COVID pandemic situation.

Thakur, prior being the Chief of ATS, has also served a successful stint in Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and is known to be a tough officer.
