Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister, Uttar Pradesh has directed to speed up developmental projects of the Centre as well as the State government. He said the extensive implementation of these schemes would ensure employment to migrant labourers on one hand while on the other it would help to reshape Uttar Pradesh post-COVID.

The CM, during a high-level review meeting on June 11, directed all the Divisional Commissioners to meticulously review the developmental schemes in the districts of their division and speak to DMs in this regard. They are required to pay attention to the work done before lockdown and evolve the modalities to finish the remaining work. The CM also asked to keep an extra focus on the health services of Agra, Aligarh, Moradabad, Meerut, Kanpur, Firozabad, Ghaziabad, Bulandshahar, Gautam Budh Nagar and Basti. He said that the corrective steps should be taken after obtaining the report of DMs and CMOs of those districts where the health services are below the expectations.

He directed that the patients admitted in the COVID hospitals should be monitored regularly while the doctors and the nurse have to take regular rounds. The patients should be served food, lukewarm water and medicines on time and provided oxygen whenever required. He also asked to provide health services in the non-COVID hospitals as per health department protocol.

The CM expressed satisfaction over achieving 15,000 COVID testing capacity per day and asked to ramp it up further. He also expected to bring down COVID death rate and do a medical review of COVID deaths to improve the treatment regime. He also directed to strengthen the surveillance committees in the larger interest of COVID prevention.


Emphasising on the social distancing, the CM asked all the persons to wear masks compulsorily and ensure the workers abide with it. He also stressed on extensive police patrolling and ensure no crowd gathering takes place. He directed to make an extensive action plan to provide benefit to street vendors through PM’s special economic package. He instructed the housing department to expedite construction of low-cost houses under an affordable housing scheme. He said the cleanliness has to be maintained to prevent the spread of contagious diseases. The CM also directed to desilt the drains on priority before the rains.

Goyal and Sanjay Prasad, Secretary to Chief Minister Alok Kumar, Director Information Shishir and other senior officers.
