UPSC Civil Service Prelims new dates to be declared today


The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is expected to declare the dates for UPSC Civil Services Prelims 2020 today. The UPSC will declare the revised date on its official website –upsc.gov.in.

Aspirants are advised to check the official site for any confirmation of revised date.

The UPSC Civil Services preliminary examination was slated to be held on May 31, 2020 and was postponed in light of the Coronavirus pandemic.


The UPSC said “The Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2020, scheduled to be held on May 31, 2020 stands deferred. Decision on fresh date of the examination will be made available on 20 May after assessing the situation.

Over 10 lakh students have registered for the exam every year.


Earlier, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) had announced results of various written exams. Overall, results of seven written exams, for a combined 136 vacancies, were announced.

The interview of candidates who had cleared the Civil Services Mains was scheduled between 23 March and 3 April.

UPSC has also deferred other examinations like UPSC NDA/NA Exam 2020 and UPSC CMS Exam 2020.
