The Gujarat state government on Thursday evening appointed K K Nirala, 2005-Batch (Gujarat cadre) as the new collector of Ahmedabad district.
Nirala will be replacing Vikrant Pandey, 2005-Batch officer, who has been sent on central deputation and appointed as a Director in the Interstate Council Secretariat in New Delhi.

Before this, Nirala was serving as the Member Secretary, Gujarat Water Supply and Sewerage Board.
