Haryana Bureaucratic Reshuffle


Jagdish Chelani, a 2018 batch Assam-Meghalaya cadre IAS officer, has been appointed as the Assistant Commissioner of Dibrugarh in Assam. He has been given the new position after completing the professional course, Phase-I training, at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy (LBSNAA) in Mussoorie. The 26-year-old officer belongs to Madhya Pradesh.

In another development, SS Meenakshi Sundaram, a 2014 batch Assam-Meghalaya cadre IAS officer, has been transferred as the Commissioner and Secretary to the Assam government, Industries & Commerce and Act East Policy Departments. At the same time he has also been allowed to continue as the Commissioner, Lower Assam Division as additional charge.

Presently, Sundaram is the Commissioner and Secretary to the government of Assam, Guwahati Development, Urban Development and Cooperation departments and Commissioner, Lower Assam Division.


Sundaram belongs to Tamil Nadu and speaks English, Tamil and Hindi.
