Ashim Kumar Ghosh is the new Director of Production at BVFCL

Ashim Kumar Ghosh has been appointed as the new Chairman and Managing Director of Brahmaputra Valley Fertilizer Corporation Limited (BVFCL) by Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB). He is currently working as the Director (production) at BVFCL.


A graduate in Mechanical Engineering from NIT Durgapu, Ghosh started his career as a Junior Executive trainee (Mechanical) at HFCL, Barauni. He then worked as the Junior Engineer (Mechanical) at HFCL, Durgapur. He then joined Namrup Fertilizer unit in March 2003.

Before becoming the GM (Unit), BVFCL, Namrup, Ghosh proved his mettle in various capacities in the mechanical discipline at HFCL and BVFCL.

Coming with an experience of around 30 years, Ghosh has dedicated his entire career to the industrial aspects of maintenance, production planning and operations at Ammonia and Urea plants. He has always worked for the over improvement, in terms of capacity utilization, energy consumption and profitability, of the plants.


He played a pivotal role in the Namrup revamp project with is taking a lead role in building and commissioning of N-II group of plants.
