Dusmanta Kumar Behara, 2007-Batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the Additional Chief Electoral Officer of Haryana.

The Haryana batch officer is presently the Director of Elementary Education, Haryana, School Education Department.
Behara is also serving as the Director of Mines & Geology, Haryana and special secretary to Government of Haryana, Mines & Geology Department.
Behara’s appointment took place against the vacancy of this post. Hailing from Odisha, Behara is an alumnus of Utkal University. At present, he is posted in Panchkula, Haryana.
The Lok Sabha elections for 2019 have started from 11 April. Conducted over seven phases, the second phase of the election is scheduled to be conducted on 18 April in 97 constituencies across India.
