Naresh Pal Gangwar, a 1994-batch IAS officer of Rajasthan cadre, has been appointed as the new Principal Secretary IT of Rajasthan, replacing Akhil Arora who has been moved to Social Justice and Empowerment Department.
Gangwar, who has studied communications and technology, is known to have done excellent work in the area of making education more inclusive and equitable in Rajasthan.
Gangwar devised a new model of sharing school facilities to address grade-specific resource scarcity in rural areas of Rajasthan, leading to improved access to infrastructure and educational outcomes.
He was recently promoted to the level of principal secretary along with few more IAS officers.
The 1994 batch IAS officer holds an M.Tech. degree in Radar Engineering. He participated in eIndia Innovation Summit organised by Elets in Jaipur in 2017.
