A Czech Republic hydel turbine company will be setting up mini power projects in Manipur. These projects will be a joint collaboration with Salai Holdings Pvt Ltd.
International turbine manufacturer Mavel will be supplying the logistics for this project.

The Imphal based company Salai will soon start a pilot project in Sekkmai Barrage in Imphal West. This project will generate electricity at a lower cost, thus supporting the economy.
“Ours will be an environmentally friendly project as we will only fix the turbine at the water spillway to generate power,” said Narengbam Samarjit, Chairman and Managing Director of Salai.
