Debjani Ghosh takes charge as the first woman President of Nasscom

Debjani GhoshDebjani Ghosh has formally taken charge as the new President of Nasscom.


The former managing director of Intel South Asia, Ghosh has succeeded R Chandrashekhar upon completion of his term.

“We are amidst exponential shifts that require exponential change – across businesses, skilling, building innovative solutions with disruptive technologies, connecting the ecosystem of start-ups with that of enterprises and leveraging technology for social impact. I am honoured to have been given this opportunity at this inflection point for the industry and the country,” she said.

She is the first woman to lead Intel India and MAIT (Manufacturers’ Association for Information Technology).


“Debjani brings invaluable knowledge and experience to the table and under her leadership I am confident that the industry will scale to greater heights of success,” Nasscom Chairman Raman Roy said. The technology industry, he said, over the past few years was witness to huge disruption across and currently at the threshold of the next growth curve.
