IAS officer adopts Hyderabad’s market for heritage restoration

HyderabadArvind Kumar, Principal Secretary, Municipal Administration and Urban Development, Government of Telangana has decided to adopt Hyderabad’s Moazzam Jahi Market so that its rich heritage can be restored.


 Announcing it on twitter, Kumar said that he has taken the decision on the advice of K T Rama Rao, Telangana IT, Industries, Municipal Administration, Mines & Geology, and NRI Affairs Minister


He has also invited public suggestions and participation for restoration.

The plan is to restore stone structures to their original colour without using artificial paints or colours.

Preference will also be given to water leakage issue, posting banners and issues regarding cables will be taken care of.
