On-Going projects –
1) Enabling 38 Central Universities with wi-fi
On the lines of Digital India campaign, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) floated a tender for enabling 38 Central Universities within India to make them Wi-Fi enabled. Amidst a fierce competition amongst 12 companies, IL&FS Technologies Limited (ITL) which partnered with HP for its switches and Wi-Fi facility was empanelled along with 3 other companies for the project after being evaluated on various parameters set by the ministry.
ITL will be implementing the project in Banaras Hindu University, Nagaland University, H.N.B. Garhwal University and Visva Bharati University in Shantiniketan beginning in October and later in the other universities.
2) Smart City – Naya Raipur Develeopment Authority
ITL will provide the citizen-centric services component (E-Governance) and transportation as part of the smart city project. Citizen services will give digital platform to citizens to interact with Administration, knowledge management for NRDA Staff, improving overall efficiency of NRDA operations. Smart cities are about a city’s subsystems working together as an integrated value chain under different conditions.
The announcement was made in April, 2017 however the implementation has started now.
Following are some of the features that ITL provides in a Smart cities and to private companies –
1) Predictive outbreak of diseases
ITL has developed technology to analyse and forecast the outbreak of Dengue that helps in understanding when Dengue can affect maximum people and on the basis of the analysis the government can alert its citizens.
They have implemented one such model in an Indian state in the Southern region.
Currently, ITL is providing support to the state government and plans to extend the technology to other states and Smart cities as per the requirement of the government.
2) Pollution Forecast
For a country in South East Asia, ITL provided technology to gauge a particular pollutant in the air which can be dangerous when in high amount in the air. This helped the government in controlling that pollutant and alerting the citizens when it rose to hazardous levels.
3) Predictive Maintenance of devices
ITL provides technology that provides analysis for maintaining various devices in a Smart city and the conditions that disrupt the working of those devices to enable the government to take steps in advance in maintaining the devices. Currently, ITL is providing support for the system and plans to extend the technology to Smart cities as per the requirement of the government.

2) Integrated infrastructure and communication system for Rapid Metro Gurgaon
3) CORE Dashboard with Government of Andhra Pradesh
4) State Registration Data Hub (SRDH) for Tamil Nadu
