The Centre has extended the deadline of mandatory Aadhaar card number linkage to bank accounts and PAN card  to March 31st, 2018.

The earlier deadline was ending on December 31 this year.

Since a large number of population still needs to link Aadhaar, the deadline was extended.

However, the deadline for linking Aadhaar number with mobile number is still February 6.

Earlier, the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (Irdai) had issued a circular making it mandatory for all policyholders to link their Aadhaar and PAN details to their insurance policies.

In the process of linking the Aadhaar card number to the policy, you will be asked to furnish you PAN as well.
