A 19-member delegation of administrative officers, who are associated with civil services of various African countries, visited Faridabad under the first Advanced Leadership Development Programme on Public Policy and Administration and interacted with officers of district administration. The delegation was led by Course Director, National Centre for Good Governance, Mussoorie, Dr. A.P. Singh and Associate Course Director, Sanjeev Sharma.
Deputy Commissioner, Faridabad, Sameer Pal Srow, extended a warm welcome to the delegation and gave detailed description of the city, besides outlining the various development schemes being implemented by the Central and State Governments in the district.

An official spokesperson said that the DC also apprised the delegates that under the ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ campaign, the sex ratio in the district was now about 910 girls per 1,000 boys as compared to the earlier figure of 800-850 girls per 1,000 boys, and the rural areas of the district have been declared open-defecation free. He also informed the delegates about projects such as metro service, improvement and widening of National Highway and other development projects, besides the functioning of the District Administration, Police, Municipal Corporation and Panchayati Raj Institutions.
