trade-fairThe India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) has for the first time introduced an online space booking system for exhibitors at the ongoing India International Trade Fair (IITF).

The system allows the participants across countries and states to book space of their choice by paying online using payment gateways.

IITF has been using Digital India as its prominent theme this year. For example, online sale of tickets has been allowed on all days to let visitors book their tickets conveniently and quickly.


Last year, online ticket sales was allowed only on business days. Due to this initiative, the number of online ticket sales has increased from 2,896 to 15,574 till 21st November, 2016.

This year, ITPO has also developed a mobile application for IITF to provide information about trade fair, exhibitor list, floor plan, products on display, public amenities and navigation in a user-friendly manner.


The demonetisation of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes has further given a boost to Digital India initiative at IITF.

ITPO has tied up with SBI, AXIS bank, Paytm and Free-Charge to enable visitors do cashless transactions.
