Govt plans to remove hate messages from social media

social-mediaThe government is planning a meeting with all stakeholders to chalk out strategy for removal of objectionable content with hate messages from social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook.


The government will especially target content with communal overtones.

According to report, the meeting is being planned in the wake of widespread use of social media platforms for circulation of hate messages, pictures, audios and videos with communal overtones and hate contents in recent past.

Representatives of the Ministries of Home, Telecommunication, Intelligence Bureau, Facebook, Twitter etc., will deliberate over the issue.
