Sears Holdings to open technology centre in Bengaluru

searsSears Holdings, a leading integrated retailer with stores across the United States, is going to open its second technology center at the Embassy Tech Park in Sarjapur, Bengaluru.


“Currently, necessary regulatory clearances are awaited,” the company said in an official release.

The center, which is tentatively scheduled to open in September, will be spearheaded by MD Alok Kumar, who is also heading Sears’s first development center in Pune. It will focus on developing solutions for Omni-channel retail.

In the last five years, our technology teams in India have generated immense value for Sears Holdings and our members, and with this expansion, we aim at enhancing this value further.”
