Rakesh Sharma has taken over as the new Chief Secretary of Uttarakhand following the retirement of N Ravi Shankar.
Sharma, a 1981 batch IAS officer of Uttarakhand cadre, was holding the post of Additional Chief Secretary before taking up the new assignment. In his earlier stint as Additional Chief Secretary, Rakesh held finance, mining among other portfolios.
In one of his statements, Sharma said, “I believe in teamwork and we have a bunch of capable officers to put our ideas to practice.”
