Delhi Govt approves e-office plan

KejriwalDelhi Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal gave its approval for implementing the e-office system in every department.


In the first phase of the plan, reportedly 15 departments will be cover. It wil make Delhi the first state in the country to totally adopt the e-office concept.

The Department of Information Technology will be the nodal department for the project.

Delhi government has already procured a combined single-user licence through Delhi e-Governance Society.


Also, the Cabinet has reportedly permitted the individual departments to procure the required hardware and manpower from National Informatics Centre Services Inc. (NICSI) at empanelled rates.
