Vrinda Sarup, a 1981 batch IAS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre, has been appointed Secretary in the Department of Food and Public Distribution. Currently, she is working as Secretary, Department of School Education and Literacy.
She will be succeeding Sudhir Kumar, who is a 1978 batch IAS officer of the same cadre and has retired.
