R Seshasayee replaces Kamath as Non-Executive Chairman of Infosys

Infosys announced that its Board has appointed R Seshasayee the Non-Executive Chairman with immediate effect, replacing veteran banker K V Kamath.

Seshasayee has been an Independent Director on the Board since January 2011 and is the chairperson of the Audit Committee, Infosys said in a statement.

Kamath stepped down from his position as Chairman of the Board and as an Independent Director of the company, as he has been nominated as President of the New Development Bank being set up by BRICS countries.
