Ram Tirath to be a CBEC member from June 1

Ram Tirath, a 1979 batch IRS officer will be joining Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC) from June 1, 2015. He will be replacing Joy Kumari Chander, who is a 1978 batch IRS officer. Her superannuation is scheduled for May 31^st.

At present, Tirath is serving Directorate General, Foreign Trade. Keeping the current position and occupancy in mind, only Kaushal Srivastava, the chairperson of CBEC will remain with the Board on May 31.
