Ram Tirath, a 1979 batch IRS officer will be joining Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC) from June 1, 2015. He will be replacing Joy Kumari Chander, who is a 1978 batch IRS officer. Her superannuation is scheduled for May 31st.
At present, Tirath is serving Directorate General, Foreign Trade. Keeping the current position and occupancy in mind, only Kaushal Srivastava, the chairperson of CBEC will remain with the Board on May 31.
