The government has directed all central public sector enterprises (CPSEs) to enrol their employees under the Aadhaar scheme.
According to a circular issued by the Department of Public Enterprises, Aadhaar should be used for various purposes, including attendance and salary disbursement.

“Administrative ministries/departments concerned with CPSEs are requested to advise CPSEs under their administrative jurisdiction to adopt Aadhaar card for enrolment to CPSEs employees and contract/daily workers for various purposes like attendance/ payment of wages, PF, ESI, etc.” the circular said.
