airtel-new-logo3In order to expand its holdings, telecom major Airtel is reportedly in talks to buy out Augere Wireless, a 4G spectrum holder company in Madhya Pradesh circle, for about Rs 150 crore.

According to report, the deal between the two companies is in advance stage.

Airtel is aggressively looking forward to foray into 4G services. It has started trial of 4G service in Mumbai. On 4G trial in Mumbai, the service will be offered to its existing 3G customers at 3G rates.


The telecom major has partnered with Flipkart to sell the service bundled with the devices of brands like Xiaomi, Motorola, Lenovo, Asus and Huawei. The company has also partnered with Samsung India. As per the partnership, both the companies will promote each others’ 4G offerings at their respective outlets.
