Saurabh Vijay, a 1998 batch IAS officer of Maharashtra cadre, has been appointed as an Advisor to Executive Director, World Bank, under the Department of Economic Affairs (Finance Ministry).
He will be posted in Washington DC replacing Anuradha Thakur, who is a 1994 batch IAS officer of Himachal Pradesh cadre. She has completed her three years tenure in April 2014.

Saurabh has been on central deputation since May 2011 and also served with the President’s Secretariat in the rank of Director.
