The ‘Digital India’ campaign of the Narendra Modi-led NDA government will herald digital technology revolution in the country as the government is planning to cover 100 crore people under the initiative by 2020, Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said.

Naqvi said that the ambitious campaign will play an important role in bringing about socio-economic, educational and agricultural development.

“Our target is take digital technology to 100 crore people by 2020,” he said.

The ‘Digital India’ campaign has the potential to transform delivery system for the government’s welfare services and give a boost to e-governance, the minister emphasised.
