The incumbent Director General of National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD), Arun Kumar Jha (IES:1985), has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer, Khadi & Village Industries Commission (KVIC).
In his new stint as CEO, Jha will now be located in Mumbai under the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises. Earlier also, Jha had served with many departments and ministries. These included MSME (as Director), Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion (as Director), Union Home Ministry (as Additional Economic Adviser), and Department of Consumer Affairs (as Deputy Economic Advisor).
Apart from these, he worked as a Joint Director in the Ministry of Rural Development and also with Bureau of Industrial Costs & Prices (as Deputy Director).
