AK Dutta selected as member for ANS

3ef0cd2The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recently selected AK Dutta as a member of Air Navigation Services, Airports Authority of India (AAI). After the selection is ratified by the ACC, Dutta will succeed V Somasundaram, the incumbent member, who is going to retire on September 30, 2015. Dutta was selected among 12 candidates.

The Airports Authority of India was constituted by an Act of Parliament and came into existence on April 1, 1995, merging former National Airports Authority and International Airports Authority of India. AAI manages a total of 125 Airports, including 11 International Airports, 8 Custom Airports, 81 Domestic Airports, and 25 Civil Enclaves at Defence Airfields. AAI also offers Air Traffic Management Services (ATMS) over entire Indian Air Space and adjoining oceanic areas with ground installations at all airports and 25 other locations ensuring the safety of Aircraft operations.
