Senior IAS officer T V Somanathan has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).
Somanathan, a 1987 batch IAS officer of Tamil Nadu cadre, will replace B V R Subrahmanyam.

The order would be in force till August 5, 2017 or until further orders, whichever is earlier, according to an order issued by the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions.
