Sitharaman said that the government is committed to ease the entire process of doing business in India. “It is proposed to integrate the services of all central government departments and ministries with ‘eBiz’ by 31 December 2014,” she said.

The minister also emphasised on boosting the manufacturing sector in the country.

The eBiz platform aims to create a business and investor friendly ecosystem in India by making all business and investment related clearances and compliances available on a 24×7 single portal, with an integrated payment gateway.

India has been ranked 142 among the 189 countries in the latest report on ease for doing business.
