Ravinder Kumar Jain, a 1981 batch IAS officer of Himachal Pradesh cadre, has been appointed as Secretary of the National Disaster Management Authority. Jain is working as Additional Secretary in Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. He has been appointed in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary in place of Satyanarayan Mohanty, a 1980 batch IAS officer of Andhra Pradesh cadre, who has been appointed as Secretary in Department of Higher Education.
