Enforcement Director and 1979 batch MP cadre IAS Rajan S Katoch has been appointed as Secretary, Department of Heavy Industries. He will continue to hold additional charge as the Enforcement Director for six months or until further orders.

Katoch has been heading the Enforcement Directorate for over two years now and will take over the new assignment after incumbent Sutanu Behuria retires on July 31.
