MUMBAI: Reliance Communications BSE -0.87 % has signed roaming agreements with Tata Teleservices BSE -2.14 % and Aircel that allow it to offer third-generation services to GSM customers across the country, as operators cooperate more among themselves to better utilize resources, save costs and compete more effectively with bigger rivals.

These partnerships will open up a significant market opportunity for RCOM, as its 3G GSM customers will now be able to access high speed internet services even in areas where the company does not have the licence and bandwidth to provide such services, the Anil Ambani controlled telecom operator said in a news release.
