Maharashtra Government Plans Biometric System to Help Pensioners

Maharashtra Government has planned to sep up biometric reader machines for online finger print authentication. It will provide relief to pensioners from submitting yearly life certificates to avail pension.


The state government has planned to set up biometric reader machines in all the villages. These machines will be installed in all PDS shops, citizen service centres and government offices providing e services.

This initiative will help state government employees who settle in their native place after retirement.

The pensioner with Aadhar cards can do their finger print authentication which will be directly matched with UID card numbers.
