DeitY to Start National Executive Training Programme

The Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY) will start e-Governance Executive Training Programme (eGEP).

eGEP is country’s first national level training module for officers at the level of under secretary, deputy directors and block officers. The officers must have five years of experience to qualify for training programme. This module has been initiated under The National e-governance Programme.

The first batch for eGEP will involve 25 officers. They will be selected and recommended by their department heads. The programme aims to train officers who are involved in e-governance projects and initiatives.

The entire project will amount to Rs 9.9 crore as said by Rajendra Kumar, Joint Secretary.

The module will cover various trends in hardware, software, communications, cyber security, national and international e-governance practices. The officers will also travel various countries to study e-governance initiatives.
