Bio-metric attendance system for UP schools

Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government  has decided to install solar-run bio-metric attendance systems in government-run schools to monitor attendances of teachers and students.

The system will also keep an eye on the Mid Day Meal Scheme, an official said adding that a control room will also be set up in Lucknow to monitor the system.

As part of the pilot project, a solar bio-metric system was set up at the Mati Higher Secondary School in Sarojini Nagar in Lucknow on Tuesday.
