National Transparency Portal Launched for PDS

National Transparency Portal for Public Distribution System (PDS) has been launched to provide all PDS related information through a single platform in the public domain.

The portal, by the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, contains information relating to Fair Price Shops (FPSs) and ration cards attached to the FPSs. Information on FCI and State storage godowns with capacity utilization and data on Central Pool stocks is also published on the portal. The portal further hosts information like the monthly allocation orders, State-specific commodity sale prices, lifting position, etc. for public view.

All states and UTs have been requested to maintain and update the data on the portal through use of PDS application software for end-to-end computerization of TPDS. The portal may be accessed athttp://pdsportal.nic.in. Citizens may also access the Portals of state and UT Food & Civil Supplies Departments through the links provided.
