Narendra ModiThe Gujarat government in order to improve the infra-structure services at the Taluka headquarters has allocated Rs 334.25 crore under its scheme. A seven member gang of dacoits, including the kingpin – a mother and her two sons are in police net; thanks to operation carried out by Dakshina Kannada district police. Apno Taluko, Vibrant Taluko (ATVT).

Sabarkantha was allocated 21 crore under the project. The government has allocated Rs 14 crore for Ahmedabad, Amreli (Rs 15.25 crore), Panchmahal (Rs 17.758 crore), Bhavnagar (Rs 16.25 crore) Banaskantha (Rs 19.7 crore), Surendranagar (14.50 crore), Bhavnagar (Rs 16.25 crore) and Rajkot (Rs 19.25 crore) among others district.

Chief Minister Narendra Modi while celebrating the 51st year of formation of Gujarat had launched the ATVT program. The programme is aimed to empower people locally to guide the growth process through Taluka Sarkar – a sub district citizen-centric approach where governance and development is activated at the grass root level. This initiative entails a major revamping in the administrative set up and a shift in functioning.


Among the facilities which would be provided under the ATVT said that all the services of different departments will be available at one place. The administration will be more effective, transparent and citizen-centric. The applications will be sorted round the clock, also E- Governance will make the system rise to a further level.
