e-Shakti, smart cards for labourers under the National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NREGA) has been introduced in Bihar. This e-shakti scheme is being launched in two panchayats of the district.
This smart card will contain entire details of the card-holder and once the card is inserted into the machine at a panchayat, his presence will be recorded and it will also show the duration of the work by him and what amount he should be paid.
