Biometric Identity Card System at Cochin Port

In view of the security threats the Cochin Port Trust has taken a series of measures to strengthen security. Biometric identity card system for access control into the port has been introduced as a primary security measure.

In view of the security threats the Cochin Port Trust has taken a series of measures to strengthen security. Biometric identity card system for access control into the port has been introduced as a primary security measure. And as the port has now introduced an e-governance (e-port) system under which the access control system has been directly linked to the accounting system that automatically calculates and prepares the salary, overtime bills etc.
