Sahara Plans to Expand into the Healthcare Sector

The group plans to set up three super specialty, multi-disciplinary, tertiary care hospitals in Lucknow, Gorakhpur and Amby Valley at an investment of INR 2,500 crore over the next two-three years And then the plan is to follow it up by high-ended secondary care hospitals in all its 217 Sahara City Homes townships across the country, each of which will have an estimated cost of INR 15-20 crore.

And to meet the need of skilled manpower, advanced talks with the New York-Presbyterian Hospital and the John Hopkins University to open a medical college and research centre at its Lucknow hospital are also on.
