Soon citizens of Mumbai will be able to pay their property taxes and water bills through cell phones. A quick SMS with a bill number to a fixed number will ensure that the bill is paid. The Bombay Municipal Corporation (BMC) will start trails of the new system from 20 August 2008.
For this initiative, BMC has tied up with State Bank of India, which in turn has joined hands with ITZ Cash card
