Decision Support System for (DES) was launched by Blue Star Infotech for the Government of Maharashtra's Directorate of Economics and Statistics.
Shri Jayant Patil, Finance and Planning Minister of Maharashtra launched the system on August 20, 2008 at Mantralaya in Mumbai.
Blue Star Infotech joined hands with SAS, HP and Oracle to build the entire system in a record timeframe of 8 calendar months. With this keeping in with time, this project is the first e-Governance project in Maharashtra which has been implemented within contracted time frame. It is expected that the system will provide critical information and assist in the better planning of progress in the Indian state.
The Directorate provides technical guidance and advice to the state government on economic and statistical matters.
