Developed and implemented by Department of Medical and Health services of Lakshadweep, the system is first of its kind in India where all the hospitals and primary health centers would be connected online, enabling them to get a real time assessment of stock position. The system manages all types of Allopathic and Ayurvedic medicines of all hospitals across various islands in the UT.

The project forms a part of the Union Territory's e-Governance agenda and has been actualised with the active support of the National Informatics Centre.
