The Head of Kuwait-based Information Technology Center Ali Al-Shareeda announced that soon the centre will introduce e-Governance services as a part of country's e-government project in February 2008.

He said that the strategy went hand-in-hand with international efforts for the purpose of developing by 2015 an international plan for constructing a comprehensive information society. He described Kuwait's input as “enthusiastic,” considered the “digital gap” one of the main challenges facing e-projects in Kuwait, underlining the necessity of raising public awareness in this regard.
