Tata Consultancy Services TCS) has become the first Certifying Authority in India to issue more than 200,000 digital signature certificates.

TCS Certifying Authority has already become the first to cross the 100,000 mark in February, 2007 and is the largest CA in the country in terms of the number of certificates issued. According to TCS press release, the TCS CA has shown spectacular growth during the year 2006, thanks to the various initiatives by the Government, like the MCA 21 programme. TCS has issued the number of certificates to MCA21 users.
