The award would be presented during a formal ceremony on the opening day of the 7th Global Forum on Reinventing Government to be held in Vienna from 26-29 June, 2007. The United Nations Public Service Awards are given in three categories: improving transparency, accountability, and responsiveness in Public Service; improving the delivery of services; and fostering participation in policy-making decisions through innovative mechanisms like e-Government. According to HE Ahmad Bin Byat, President of DGEP, this award recognises the achievements of Dubai's e-Government services.
